sick to my stomach
I always get sick to my stomach when something big is coming up. When I was a kid, it was my annual trip for summer vacation to my grandparents’ house on the Black sea. Seven hours on the train, leaving home for 3 months, meeting my summer friends. Oh my, it was so nerve-wrecking. Well, this semester I have to finish classes, pass comperensive exams, and write a dissertation prospectus. Can I say, I will need lots of alka seltzer.
On a different note, I can’t believe I was a writing tutor for 2 years and actually had regular students who made appointments to see ME. The writing process has turned into some agony.
Anyway, time for some late soup and bed. It will be OK.
